Aimed at K-5 students, Acellus covers math, science, social studies, language arts/reading, as well as STEM and foreign languages.
Classes are taught through pre-recorded videos made by teachers outside the school district, but students can do homework “at their own pace” according to a message from Selma City Schools.
A parent orientation will be held on Tuesday, September 14 at 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Selma High School.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer this option to our elementary families,” said City of Selma Superintendent of Schools Avis Williams. “Please keep in mind that this is an independent learning program and scholars will need the support of an adult at home to be successful.
