inXile Entertainment has confirmed that its next-gen RPG will be using Unreal Engine 5. Unfortunately, the team has not revealed any additional details as it’s currently committed to Wasteland 3.
Thank you. We’re excited to share more, although it’ll be a while. Focusing on finishing Wasteland 3 and getting it into people’s hands on Aug. 28. We will indeed be using Unreal Engine 5 for our next project.

My guess is that this upcoming RPG will be coming out on next-gen platforms. After all, inXile is currently busy with Wasteland 3 which releases on August 28th. A new project will, theoretically, take a couple of years. Thus, a cross-gen release seems unlikely in 2022 or 2023.
Sadly, there is nothing more to add here. It will be interesting to see whether this next game from inXile will have an isometric viewpoint. It will also be interesting to see on which platforms this game will come out.
Stay tuned for more!
