lol it sure does. Even playing it all those years ago I thought the main character looked an absolute emo bundle-of-sticks.

A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I in finding it very troublesome to inform the reality on the other hand I will certainly come back again.

Persona 2: Eternal Punishment

Persona 2: Innocent Sin

Do not bother with the 1st, 3 and 4 are boring and geh as you said.

Yeah I don’t blame you for thinking that way, I’ve more or less outgrown anime myself. I only played Persona 3 FES a long time ago on my PS3, which was the digital copy of the PS2 version. I don’t know much about the PSP version outside the fact that you get to choose between a male and female protagonist, which does have the effect of who you can romance, and I think it also doesn’t include The Answer epilogue. So I would say emulate P3FES. There are HQ texture patches that you can apply to it too.

Lord knows what other parts of the game they've compromised for the thin-skinned. And as the article states, the game does indeed come with denuvo. I needn't say more. TLDR - Yet another completely pointless remake. While the remake has new visuals, fully voiced content, and some gameplay changes, the visuals are still outdated by about a decade, UI is needlessly crowded, gameplay and dungeons are mostly similar to the original, content has been cut to be sold separately, revisions were made for "modern day sensibilities," and denuvo DRM is included. And they have the gall to charge 70 USD for this. You're better off just emulating the PS2 version of FES at 4K or whatever and inserting fancy visual effects using Reshade. The original still holds up due to its art style, so no need for this newer version. Let’s see, visually, it’s finally up to speed with a ps4 game at best, while looking inferior to the original in some areas. Like their headquarters for example. In the original it had a dark and moody atmosphere while in the remake they completely ruined it by adding nonsensical lighting to make everything overly bright. But hey, apparently you get ray traced reflections on certain reflective surfaces should your hardware support it. Hooray. Oh, and the menus are full of visual clutter now because apparently it’s stylish to make the UI look overly busy.

They added full voice-overs for pretty much everything, which is nice. Congrats to Atlus for catching up to what western RPG games have been doing for two decades. If only other Japanese studios would do this for their games as well…

Gameplay wise it still looks like it’s turn based, so not much changed there, apart from some extra mechanics maybe. And the main dungeon is still fully procedurally generated, just like the original, so it’ll probably still be a chore to trudge through. Would it have killed them to hand-tailor some sections? They did that for Persona 5 and that was a much better game because of it.

Content-wise, the game neither has the option to pick a female main character like the PSP version did, nor does it include The Answer, which was new story content that was part of Persona 3 FES on PS2. Rumour is, this’ll come as DLC in the future. Cutting out content from an old game to sell it later. Wonderful, greed strikes again.

And then there are changes for “modern audiences.” Considering this is a full-on remake which includes changes to even the 2D animated cutscenes, expect some of that. For example:

I’m sure walking around with those kinds of pins were all the rage amongst high-schoolers in 2009 Japan. 🙄 I bet they compromised the hilarious scene on the beach as well to protect the fee-fees of the suicide squad. Lord knows what other parts of the game they’ve compromised for the thin-skinned.

And as the article states, the game does indeed come with denuvo. I needn’t say more.
