Outcast A New Beginning new feature

Here are 15 minutes of gameplay from Outcast: A New Beginning

GameInformer has shared a video, showcasing 15 minutes of new gameplay footage from Outcast: A New Beginning. In this video, we get to see the jetpack mechanics that let you fly around the alien world at high speeds. We also get a glimpse at the game’s combat mechanics.

In Outcast 2, you step into the shoes of Cutter Slade, a former Navy SEAL known for his dry wit from the 90s. Your adventure unfolds on the alien world of Adelpha, where you’ll aid the local Talans in their struggles. Thus, you’ll engage in fast-paced battles against invading robot forces.

Now as you’ll see, some of the game’s traversal mechanics feel a bit rough. The sliding does not feel smooth, and the wingsuit could have been better. I’m certain I’m spoiled by Batman: Arkham Knight and Just Cause 3. These two games have the best wingsuits you can find in any game.

Outcast: A New Beginning is a double-A game, so don’t expect it to compete against most modern-day triple-A titles. So, I hope that its story will be interesting enough to keep my attention. Otherwise, this game will be dead on arrival. It may sound harsh, but that’s the truth. This isn’t a Souls-like game (which can appeal to a huge crowd). This is a third-person action game with some RPG elements and a crafting system.

THQ Nordic will release Outcast: A New Beginning on March 15th, and there is still no word on the game’s PC requirements. As soon as we get our hands on them, we’ll be sure to share them with you.

Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more!
