Yeah, being able play as one and giving commands to the other would be a decent upgrade over the original but I get the feeling that won’t be the case. The game will however feature a co-op mode so the other brother can be played by someone else.

People are mostly mixed about this one. Some love the new look and others aren’t a fan of it. The character models in the remake are certainly more expressive from what I’m seeing (in terms of facial expressions and body language) but the overall colour filter has caused everything to be washed out. I don’t know why Unreal Engine games keep doing this.

I prefer the original aesthetics but that’s partially because I played the game a couple of times when it first came out back then and I just prefer the art style they were going for then. Realism for me doesn’t always equate to a better experience. But I get that everyone feels differently about that.

Either way I hope people enjoy the experience as much as I did. It’s a pretty emotional ride but incredibly short. You can play it all the way through in under 3 hours.

What you should instead request from Microsoft is a PC release of Fable 2, because that one is still a Xbox 360 exclusive to this day.

Granted, it can be emulated even on the Steam Deck via Xenia Canary, but still, just goes to show how much Microsoft cares about the PC platform…

Not really. They could still do a mix and match when it comes to various aspects of the game. Controlling both brothers at the same time whilst roaming from one point of interest to the other was rather clumsy at times.

I remember having moments and seeing other players having the same problem when the brothers cross paths (little one moves to left side of the screen and the big one to the right) and it causes great confusion when traversing. You then have to pause and readjust their positions.

It’s a minor issue but all of that can be alleviated by just controlling one brother and have the other follow. When it comes to the puzzle aspects I can then see the original methods being used. I don’t think it will bastardize the original control method by just updating it a little. There’s a co-op mode in the remake so doesn’t that defeat the purpose already in your mind?

Fable already had a remaster in the form of the Anniversary edition.

But sure, even better graphics are always a welcome sight.

It’s like remaking Tetris with the ability to change the form of the blocks on the fly, this doesn’t make sense, the ability to control both character simultaneously is what made this game unique and weirdly challenging, you’re just asking for its bastardization

I’m on board with a Fable remaster. It was a really good game but almost 20 years old. Could use a graphics face-lift.
